Four members of the Friends of Lake Panorama board of directors were on hand to accept the gift that will be used at the Panorama West golf course. Check presenters were William Bump, who handled the McLuen estate; nephews Steve McLuen and Eric McLuen; sister-in-law Dru McLuen; and Dave Grove, Edward Jones.

 New shrubs were planted on the south side of the clubhouse, where old shrubs were removed by Wood Brothers Landscaping.

 The west side of the Panorama West clubhouse now sports a variety of shrubs and perennial flowers. New plastic and river rock surround the plantings to keep weeds at bay and protect the new plants.

 Six cast aluminum signs will be added to the course to help direct golfers to par-four tee boxes. Signs like these have become increasingly important as new players discover Panorama West.

 Work on the new irrigation system at Panorama West got underway in late May, and involves trenching in pipe to provide water to all tee boxes, fairways and greens on the golf course.

Work on the new irrigation system at Panorama West got underway in late May, and involves trenching in pipe to provide water to all tee boxes, fairways and greens on the golf course.

 Before the irrigation pipe is trenched in, strips of sod are removed and set aside. Once the pipe is placed in the trench, workers cover it with dirt, then replace the sod.

 A sign was added to a post near the McLuen bench. It recognizes the couple’s estate gift, which made significant renovations possible at Panorama West.

 Chalk was used to outline where workers were to dig as they updated six sand bunkers at Panorama West. A backhoe operator handled most of the job on each bunker, while edges were dug by hand to the proper depth and angle.
